Word to PDF Converter

"Auto" uses each page's real size and orientation as set in the Word document (including documents with mixed page sizes or a landscape page in an otherwise portrait document). Choose a specific size to force every page to that size instead.

Make text selectable and searchable

Adds an invisible, exactly-positioned text layer under the page image, so you can select, search, and copy text in the PDF -- the visible page still looks identical either way. Currently only covers Latin-script text (English, French, Spanish, etc.); Chinese, Arabic, and other non-Latin scripts are not yet supported and won't be covered by this layer.

Add page numbers to footer

Off by default -- only turn this on if your document doesn't already have its own page numbers, since this would add a second one.

Fix extra pages from hidden section breaks

Word documents sometimes contain invisible "continuous" section breaks (often leftover from pasted content) that Word itself doesn't count as a new page, but this converter's renderer does -- producing more PDF pages than your document actually has. This detects and removes them so the page count matches. Trade-off: if such a section intentionally used a different column count (e.g. a 2-column header), it will render as 1 column instead after this fix. Turn off if you'd rather keep the original column layout and accept the extra page(s).

Fix undercounted pages on long documents (always on for Real text)

Off by default. This converter's renderer has no built-in way to detect where Word would naturally break a page in ordinary flowing text (only explicit breaks), so a long document can render as far fewer, oversized pages than it should. Turning this on uses Word's own cached record of where it broke pages last time it was saved to fix that -- but Word marks that position mid-paragraph, not always at a clean boundary, and this renderer's handling of splitting a paragraph across two pages that way isn't fully reliable: it can occasionally clip a sliver of content off the top of the following page. Only turn this on for long documents where the page count is badly wrong, and check the result carefully afterward.
