Watch what your browser sends
Every browser has a built-in way to see exactly what data is sent out while a page is open. Here's how to use it:
- Open any conversion tool on this site.
- Open your browser's Developer Tools (press F12, or right-click anywhere and choose Inspect), then click the Network tab.
- Select a file and run the conversion as normal.
- Watch the list of activity. You'll see the page's own code load once, right at the start. When you actually convert your file, the only thing sent is one tiny, few-bytes-long check-in message that just says which tool was used -- nothing about your file, and nowhere close to its size.
- Nothing scales with your file. A 20MB Word document doesn't create a 20MB upload, because no upload happens at all.
This tells you more than just disconnecting from the internet and seeing if a tool still works -- it shows you exactly what does and doesn't get sent, rather than only proving something ran offline.

Can I use these tools offline, or by saving the page?
The conversion itself happens entirely in your browser, but each tool still needs an internet connection to check that day's usage limit before starting.
