Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to convert my PowerPoint file here?

Yes, it is 100% secure. Unlike traditional converters, our tool does not upload your presentation to a server. The conversion happens entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. Your private slides never leave your device.

Will the PDF look exactly like my PowerPoint presentation?

Text, images, tables, and basic shape colors are reconstructed from your presentation's own data. Highly complex features -- SmartArt diagrams, embedded charts, animations, precise gradients, and video -- are not yet supported and will appear blank or simplified rather than rendered incorrectly.

Is the text in the PDF selectable and searchable?

Yes -- including text inside tables. An invisible, exactly-positioned text layer sits underneath the visible slide image, so the PDF looks identical to a plain image-based export but you can still select, search, and copy text from it. This currently covers Latin-script text (English, French, Spanish, etc.); other scripts aren't covered yet.

Why do I need to upload a .pptx file?

Modern PowerPoint files (.pptx) are structured as standard ZIP archives containing XML data, which browsers can safely and directly read. Legacy PowerPoint files (.ppt) use a proprietary binary format that requires server-side software to process, so we only support .pptx to maintain our zero-upload privacy guarantee.
