Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to convert my PDF here?

Yes, it is 100% secure. Unlike traditional converters, our tool does not upload your PDF to a server. The conversion happens entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. Your private documents never leave your device.

Does this tool extract images and tables?

Yes! This tool detects tables and converts them into native Word tables. It also extracts embedded images from the PDF and places them natively into the .docx file, sized to match how they appeared on the page.

Will the PDF look exactly like the Word document?

The tool accurately reconstructs text, paragraphs, tables, and images, and detects common two-column layouts so columns read in the correct order rather than interleaving line by line. Because the rendering happens in your browser without Microsoft Word's proprietary font engine, some highly complex custom fonts, 3+ column magazine layouts, rotated pages, or advanced vector graphics may still render slightly differently.

Does it work with password-protected PDFs?

Not currently. If your PDF requires a password to open, please remove the password protection first using a PDF tool, then upload the unlocked file here.

What if my PDF is a scan or has no selectable text?

The tool automatically detects pages with no text layer, or with only a thin, sparse one β€” common with scans, screenshots, and some "print to PDF" exports that flatten text into outlines β€” and falls back to in-browser OCR (optical character recognition) to read them, including reconstructing any tables on that page. Any OCR'd word the engine wasn't confident about is highlighted yellow in the resulting document, so you know exactly what to double-check. This is more computationally intensive, so it's limited to files under 5MB. The OCR engine downloads a small, generic language file the first time it runs β€” this doesn't contain any of your document's content.
