Is it safe to split private PDFs here?
Yes. Splitting happens entirely inside your browser using JavaScript -- your file is never uploaded to a server.
What's the difference between the two modes?
"Extract a page range" pulls out a continuous range of pages (e.g. pages 3 to 7) into one new PDF. "Split into individual pages" breaks every page into its own separate PDF file, bundled together in a single .zip download.
Does this work on password-protected PDFs?
Not currently -- remove password protection first if your PDF requires one to open.
