1. What This Site Is

VaultFileConvert provides free, browser-based file conversion tools. Each tool runs entirely as JavaScript in your own browser; your files are read, converted, and saved locally and are never uploaded to our servers as part of the conversion itself. We are currently in an open trial period -- every tool is free to use, subject to the per-tool and daily limits described on each tool's own page.

2. Ownership and Copyright

The code, design, text, and functionality of this site -- including the client-side conversion logic used by each tool -- are the property of VaultFileConvert and are protected by copyright. This applies regardless of the fact that the code necessarily runs in your browser and is technically readable there; being visible to your browser does not place it in the public domain or grant a license to copy, redistribute, or reuse it.

3. Prohibited Uses

Without our prior written permission, you may not:

  • Copy, extract, or reverse-engineer this site's conversion logic (in whole or in substantial part) for use in another product, service, or website, whether offered for free or commercially;
  • Scrape, mirror, or systematically download this site's pages, code, or content for any purpose other than normal individual use of the tools as intended;
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access these tools or their supporting endpoints outside of normal browser use, including any attempt to bypass or exceed the usage limits described on each tool's page;
  • Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright or proprietary notices contained in the site's code;
  • Misrepresent a modified or derivative version of these tools as being provided by, endorsed by, or affiliated with VaultFileConvert.

We reserve the right to restrict, rate-limit, or block access for any use that violates these terms, and to pursue legal remedies -- including copyright infringement claims and DMCA takedown requests to a hosting provider -- against any party who copies or redistributes this site's code or substantial portions of it in violation of these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You're welcome to use these tools for your own personal or business file conversion needs, within the stated file size and daily use limits. Nothing in these terms restricts your ability to use the files you create with these tools however you like -- the restrictions above are about our code and site, not your documents.

5. No Warranty

These tools are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. While we make a genuine effort to convert files accurately, we don't guarantee perfect fidelity for every document, and you should verify important conversions before relying on them. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of these tools, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time, particularly as we move out of the current trial period. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
